  2. Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email with Digital eSIM profile (QR Code) and installation instructions within 24 hours.

Within 24 hours before you start using the eSIM, connect to a stable Wi-Fi network and install the eSIM first.

  • Manual Installation: If QR scan fails, enter details provided in your email.

Step 2: Activate Your eSIM

After arriving, set eSIM as primary data source.

  • Disable Auto Data Switching.
  • Enable eSIM and turn on Data Roaming.
  • Restart your device.

An eSIM is a digital SIM card embedded directly into your mobile device. It allows you to activate a mobile plan without needing to insert a physical SIM card — simply scan a QR code and you're connected.

Please note that not all devices support eSIM. Check your device's compatibility before purchasing.

Your device must meet these requirements:

  • eSIM-capable (most smartphones from 2019 onwards)
  • Carrier-unlocked (not locked to another network)

iPhone XS / XR and later models all support eSIM. For Android, check your device specs or contact your manufacturer. If unsure, please check our eSIM Compatibility List before purchasing.

No. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use this eSIM. If your device is locked to another network, please contact your home operator to unlock it before installation.

  • Buy: Any time before your departure.
  • Install: A few hours before your trip (you'll need a stable internet connection to download the eSIM).
  • Activate: Once you arrive at your destination — turn on Data Roaming to activate your plan. Your credit validity starts from this point.

After purchase, you'll instantly receive a QR code in your order confirmation email. You can also find it anytime in your Orange Travel account (website or app) under My eSIMs. Simply scan the QR code to install and you're ready to go.

The QR code has no expiry date — it remains valid until scanned. However, each QR code can only be scanned once and installed on one device only. Once scanned, it cannot be reused or transferred to another device.

Depending on the plan you select, you may have voice and text included, or it may be a data-only plan. Check the product page for the full inclusions of your specific plan.

You can request a refund if:

  • Your device is not compatible
  • You have changed your travel plans
  • You have not yet activated your eSIM
  • You experienced a technical issue and were unable to use the service

Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–15 business days, subject to verification that the eSIM has not been used.

Important: You can only download your eSIM once. Do not delete it — a new QR code cannot be issued.

  1. Scan the QR code from your order confirmation email using your iPhone camera.
  2. Tap Set Up when prompted on screen.
  3. Optionally label your eSIM (e.g. "Orange Travel") to distinguish it from your personal SIM.
  4. Keep your personal SIM as the default for calls and data while at home.
  5. Once you arrive at your destination: go to Settings → Mobile Data → select Orange Travel eSIM → enable Data Roaming.

Important: You can only download your eSIM once. Do not delete or uninstall it.

  4. Tap Done when "Mobile Plan Setup Complete" appears.
  5. Optionally rename your eSIM (e.g. "Orange Travel").
  6. Keep your primary SIM as default for calls and data before you depart.
  7. Upon arrival: Settings → Mobile Data → select Orange Travel → enable Data Roaming.

  2. Tap Allow on the pop-up to let your phone add the eSIM.
  3. Wait for the installation to complete (this may take a few minutes).

Yes — we recommend installing the eSIM a few hours before your departure (you'll need a stable internet connection). However, do not turn on Data Roaming until you arrive at your destination, as this is when your plan's validity period begins.

No. Each eSIM QR code can only be scanned once and is tied to a single device. It cannot be transferred, reused, or installed on a second phone. If you plan to switch devices, install the eSIM on your new device before scanning the QR code.

No. You can only download your eSIM once. If you delete or uninstall it, it cannot be re-downloaded and a new QR code will not be issued. If you are experiencing issues, please contact our support team before deleting your eSIM.

All Orange SIM/eSIM cards must be registered within the first 30 days of activation to keep the service active. To register:

  1. Visit the "Register my SIM card" page on the Orange Travel website.
  2. Select your offer type.
  3. Enter your phone number or eSIM ID (13 digits).
  4. Upload a copy of your valid passport or ID card.

Verification takes approximately 10 business days.

  • iPhone / iOS: Settings → Mobile Data → Mobile Data Options → enable Data Roaming
  • Samsung Android: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → enable Data Roaming
  • Google Pixel: Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Advanced → Data Roaming → toggle ON

APN settings are configured automatically on most devices. If you need to set them manually:

  • Access Point Name (APN): orange

Log in to your Orange Travel account (website or app) → go to My eSIMs → select your eSIM number. You'll see your remaining data balance and the validity period of your plan.

Yes! You can top up your eSIM as many times as needed via the Orange Travel website or app. Top-ups are credited within a few seconds and you'll receive a confirmation email. We recommend completing the current top-up before purchasing another, as multiple top-ups cannot be accumulated simultaneously.

Yes, data tethering and hotspot are supported with no usage restrictions. Simply enable Personal Hotspot (iPhone) or Mobile Hotspot (Android) in your device settings to share your connection with other devices.

It depends on the reason for expiry:

  • Plan or credit expired: Simply top up your eSIM via the Orange Travel website or app to continue using it.
  • Not registered within 30 days of activation: Cannot be reactivated due to regulations. Please purchase a new eSIM.
  • Unused for more than 6 months after last plan ended: Cannot be reactivated. Please purchase a new eSIM.

Try these steps in order:

  1. Confirm Data Roaming is enabled for your Orange Travel eSIM in your device settings.
  2. Verify your phone is carrier-unlocked (iPhone: Settings → General → About → Network Provider Lock = "No SIM restrictions").
  3. Check APN settings are correct: APN / Username / Password all set to orange.
  4. Toggle Airplane Mode on and off, then restart your device.
  5. If still not working, do not delete your eSIM — contact our support team for assistance.

Alternatively, use internet-based apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, Viber, Facebook Messenger, or iMessage for free messaging and calls over data.

Your eSIM works as a second line on your phone (dual SIM). Keep your home SIM in the device with Data Roaming turned OFF for it, and set the Orange Travel eSIM as the active data line. This way, you can still receive calls and texts on your home number while using the eSIM for affordable local data.

  • Activate voicemail: Dial 888 and follow the voice instructions to set up your greeting.
  • Check messages: Dial 888 to listen to voicemail.
  • Change voicemail PIN: Dial 888, then choose option 3.
