You'll be on the T-Mobile network, which offers excellent 4G and 5G coverage across the mainland USA and Hawaii. In Canada, you'll roam on Rogers or Telus. In Mexico, you'll connect to Telcel or Movistar.

Note: Coverage does not include Alaska or Puerto Rico. For those locations, we recommend an AT&T eSIM.

Important: T-Mobile can be strict with overseas models. Please check compatibility to avoid issues. Phones from mainland China (e.g. Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi) may not work with this network.

Yes – a local US phone number will be assigned when your SIM Card activates. You can find it in your phone settings, or by dialling #686# once active. You may also receive your number via SMS after activation.

The phone number is only generated once the SIM Card activates. If you'd like to retrieve your number earlier, you can choose to activate the SIM Card a day or two before your arrival. Just keep in mind that this will also start your service period from the moment it's activated.

No – cruise ships rely on satellite networks, which aren't supported by this SIM Card. However, once you're near a port with mobile towers, your SIM Card will reconnect and work as normal.

This SIM Card is designed primarily for smartphones. While some tablets have SIM Card slots, we cannot guarantee compatibility on all non-phone devices.

You need to request activation at least 3 days before your arrival using our activation page: Activate Your SIM Card. Once our team processes your request, you will receive a confirmation email.

Your SIM Card will automatically activate from around 8 AM Pacific Standard Time (LA time) on the start date you selected (usually your arrival date).

Once you land, insert the SIM Card into your phone. Then set it as the default for calls, texts, and mobile data in your device settings — and make sure mobile data and data roaming are turned on. You're ready to use your SIM!

No, the SIM Card activates only on the date specified. If you need to change your activation date, please contact us at least 3 days before your original arrival date to update your activation.

The SIM Card will not connect to the network until the automatic activation time on your chosen start date.

Yes, you can insert the SIM Card before arrival, but it will only start working from the activation date and time.

Once the SIM Card is inserted:

• Set it as the default for Mobile Data, Voice, and SMS (in your device settings).
• Turn on Mobile Data and Data Roaming (if visiting Canada or Mexico).

Dial #225# on your phone to check your balance. You can also view data usage on your device:

iOS: Settings > Mobile > Current Period (or Current Period Roaming)
Android: Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage

Note: Since this SIM Card includes unlimited data, top-ups aren't required. If you need to extend your service, contact us before your plan ends.

If your trip is longer than the SIM Card duration, contact us before your plan expires to explore extension options or purchase an eSIM (your device needs to be eSIM compatible and keep in mind a new number will be assigned).

Yes – hotspot use is supported within the US only, but speeds are limited to 3G, which may be too slow for heavy usage.

First, check your data usage to make sure you haven't run out, and confirm that you're in a country included in your SIM Card plan. If everything looks fine, try toggling Airplane Mode on and off, restarting your device, or manually selecting a network in your phone's settings.

Yes – the T-Mobile SIM Card includes unlimited calls and texts to local numbers in USA, Canada and Mexico. Calls and texts to Australian numbers are not included, even if your friend is also travelling in the same region. Use apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage, or FaceTime over Wi-Fi or mobile data instead.

To call a number in Canada or Mexico, make sure to include the correct country code before the phone number:
Canada: +1
Mexico: +52
For example, to call a number in Mexico, you would dial: +52 [phone number].

Yes, you can keep your Australian number while using this SIM Card. If your phone supports dual SIM, leave your Australian SIM in the device, but make sure Data Roaming is turned off for it. Then, set your travel eSIM as the primary for Mobile Data. This way, you can still receive calls and texts to your Australian number over Wi-Fi or regular mobile signal (depending on your provider) without incurring roaming charges.
