Where You Can Use This SIM
EU Countries (Calls & Data): Aland Islands, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Réunion, Romania, Saint Martin, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Vatican City.

Before You Depart
There’s nothing you need to do before your trip. Your SIM is plug-and-play.
Only insert your SIM upon arrival in the UK or your destination country to avoid early activation. Once inserted, your 30-day service period will start automatically.
Upon Arrival
After arriving, insert your SIM and ensure both Mobile Data and Data Roaming are turned ON in your phone settings.
To enable Data Roaming:
- iOS: Settings > Mobile > Your 3UK SIM > Turn ON “Data Roaming”
- Android: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Enable “Data Roaming”
- Pixel: Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Toggle ON “Data Roaming”
APN Settings
Most devices will automatically set up your APN. If not, please configure it manually:
- APN Name: 3 (any name is fine)
- APN: three.co.uk
- Username: (Leave blank)
- Password: (Leave blank)
Your Phone Number
Your SIM comes with a UK number (+44). You’ll receive your number via SMS once the SIM is activated. Please note, it cannot be viewed before activation.
How to Check Your Balance or Recharge
Visit https://new.three.co.uk/account/login and create a My3 account using your phone number.
You can also download the Three UK App (set your app store region to the UK) to check usage and top up.
Call & Text Guide
Within UK & EU: Dial local mobile or landline numbers directly.
Outside UK/EU: You can only call UK numbers. Dial +44 followed by the number (omit the leading 0).
Example: +44 7123 456789
Calling to Australia
International calls to Australia are not included. Use internet-based apps such as WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, or Messenger for communication.
Receiving Calls & Messages
Friends and family can contact you on your UK number starting with +44. (Standard international call/SMS charges may apply from their provider.)
Hotspot & Tethering
Hotspot/tethering is supported within the UK and EU only. Not available outside these regions.
Network Partners
In the UK, your SIM uses Three UK’s own network (covering 99% of the population). When roaming, it automatically connects to partner networks for best coverage.
Extending Beyond 30 Days
You can recharge through your My3 account or the Three App after 30 days. Outside the UK, Three limits roaming data recharges to one every 30 days with a fair-use cap (12GB roaming data per 30 days).
Alternatively, you can purchase additional SIMs before your trip. Each new SIM will come with a new phone number.
